Alex Kulick is a graduate student in sociology at the University of California Santa Barbara. Their research focuses on the processes and outcomes of collective social change efforts, with a particular focus on lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and similarly identified communities. They utilize and interdisciplinary, mixed-methods framework to generate knowledge that is produced both with and for marginalized communities, drawing from sociological, queer, feminist, and intersectional theories in services of practice in community-based movements, education, and non-profits. They received a B.A. from the University of Michigan in Women’s Studies.
