Buzz Slutzky is an artist, writer, and curator at College of Staten Island, CUNY. Slutzky works in drawing, writing, sculpture, performance, and video. From 2010-2012, they curated the Pop-Up Museum of Queer History. This led to research-based comedic projects about figures such as George Sand, Anne Frank, and Michel Foucault. Cooper Union, Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), The Leslie Lohman Museum, La Mama, The MIX NYC Queer Experimental Film Festival, and Columbia College have exhibited their work. Artforum.com, The Huffington Post, TimeOut NY, NEXT Magazine, and FoucaultNews.com have covered Slutzky’s projects. Buzz’s collaboration with LJ Roberts, The Queer Houses of Brooklyn, is in the permanent collection of the Renwick Gallery at the Smithsonian.
