Jae Basiliere

Jae Basiliere is an Assistant Professor of Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Grand Valley State University.  Her research and teaching interests include: non-metropolitan sexualities and justice movements; drag performance as a mode of activism and community formation; transnational justice work; and the feminist sex wars.  The content of her presentation is based on a forthcoming article that addresses the ways in which non-metropolitan drag kings conceptualize what it means to be successful.
