Jennicet Gutiérrez

Jennicet Gutiérrez is an undocumented transgender activist based in Los Angeles, California. Her work largely focuses on issues impacting the undocumented transgender community. A founding member of La Familia: Trans Queer Liberation Member, much of her activist work is known to center detained undocumented trans women. She is dedicated to advocating for the rights and justice of the transgender community, focusing on those most marginalized within that community. Jennicet believes in the importance of uplifting and centering the voices of trans women of color in all racial justice work and will continue to organize in order to end the deportation, incarceration and criminalization of immigrants and all people of color. She was named to Out Magazine‘s Out100 list.
