Krey

Krey (AKA Kathy Rey) is a gender nonconforming songwriter, musician, and visual artist from Brooklyn, NY. She cofounded the band “The Bloods” which was one of the first all female bands that were openly gay. Krey was also the lead guitarist in the band Transistors along with iconic Trans performer and AIDS activist Chloe Dzubilo.  A visual artist known as “El Rey” is currently working on a group of paintings focusing on Duality. Her art in general is mainly inspired by her Mexican Heritage and also being Queer. She works with acrylic paints, watercolors & oil markers and paints mainly on wood.
