What’s Actually Happening After Marriage? LGBTQ Couples and Families

Rachel Epstein, (PhD), Banting Postdoctoral Fellow, Brock University, St. Catharine’s, Ontario. Rachel is a longtime LGBTQ parenting activist, educator and researcher and the founding coordinator of the LGBTQ Parenting Network at the Sherbourne Health Centre in Toronto, Canada. She has written about adoption, assisted reproduction, butch pregnancy, queer spawn in schools, and the tensions between queer sexuality, radicalism and parenting. Rachel is editor of the 2009 anthology, Who’s Your Daddy? And Other Writings on Queer Parenting (http://threeoclockpress.com) and her doctoral dissertation explored LGBTQ people’s experiences in fertility clinics. She is currently exploring the world of LGBTQ family conflict and reconfiguration.
