Tamara Dawn Alexander, Ph.D., holds a B.S. in Business and earned her M.A. in Negotiation, Conflict Resolution, and Peace building from CSU Dominguez Hills. The emphasis of her thesis was to critically evaluate the conflict involved with California’s Proposition 8, “Managing the Conflict of California’s Proposition 8: How to Foster Acceptance and Resolution.” She completed her doctoral studies at Union Institute & University in the concentration of Public Policy and Social Change. Dr. Alexander’s dissertation developed a synthesis between LGBT equality and religious doctrine, and is titled, “Exploring the LDS Church’s Wins in Two Same-Sex Marriage Elections: Mobilizing Members, Election Strategies, and Message Framing.”
