Reimagining Queer Collectivities and Kinship Outside Marriage

Timothy M. Griffiths is a Ph.D. candidate in English at The Graduate Center, CUNY. His areas of research include queer theory, ecology, nineteenth- and twentieth-century American literature, African-American literature, and black.queer intersectionality. His work —including essays on black.queer studies scholarship, the work of Samuel R. Delany, queer ecology and Wordsworth, and queer politics in the music of Perfume Genius — has been published in Callaloo, Interdisciplinary Studies in Literature and Environment, African American Review, and The Journal of Popular Music Studies. His dissertation, Bricolage Propriety, situates post-Reconstruction black American culture in the genealogy of queer-American studies.
