Abigail A. Sewell; Assistant Professor of Sociology, Emory University; Abigail A. Sewell focuses on the political economy of racial health disparities, quantitative methods in race and racism studies, and critical treatments of race and public policy. Her work has been published in Social Science and Medicine, Social Science Research, and Journal of Urban Health. She was named as The Future in 2016 by the Planned Parenthood Federation of America for her work on redlining and policing. She received her Ph.D./ M.A. in Sociology (Minor in Social Science Research Methods) from Indiana University and her B.A. summa cum laude in Sociology (Minor in Women’s Studies) from the University of Florida.
