Centering Intersectional Politics: Queer Migration Activisms ‘After Marriage’
2:30 pm - 4:15 pm 1.71
Claudia Cojocaru is currently pursuing a Master of Arts degree at Rutgers University School of Criminal Justice in Newark NJ. As a formerly trafficked person who has returned to help other trafficked individuals escape, Claudia Cojocaru’s scholarship rejects the objectifying gaze of conventional research and advocates for methods grounded in lived experience and investigative subjectivity. Among her scholarly interests are stigma, social movements, the social construction of victimhood, the exploitation of marginalized peoples’ social capital by units of power in society, problem solving courts, net widening and the impact of dehumanizing media representations of marginalized people on their communities.
