Cristina Khan is a doctoral student in the Department of Sociology at the University of Connecticut – Storrs. Cristina holds a MA in sociology from American University, where she completed an 18 month ethnography of racialized erotic labor in the North East as the empirical work for her thesis, foregrounding body and embodiment theory. She has several in-progress publications and has presented at both the American Sociological Association annual meeting as well as the Society for the Study of Social Problems annual meeting. Her research interests include qualitative methodologies, Latino Studies/racialization, body/embodiment, and erotic labor.
