Luciana Moreira Silva graduated in Portuguese Literature at the University of Coimbra. She is currently a Ph.D. student in “Human Rights in Contemporary Societies” (Centre for Social Sciences and Institute for Interdisciplinary Research, University of Coimbra). She is a junior researcher at Centre for Social Sciences, University of Coimbra, since 2009. Since 2014, she holds a position as Research fellow in the project “INTIMATE— Citizenship, Care and Choice: The Micropolitics of Intimacy in Southern Europe” (2014-2019), funded by the European Research Council, where she works about Spain. Her current research interests are: intimate and sexual citizenship, queer theory; feminist studies and cultural studies. She is also an activist in the LGBT/queer and feminist movements in Portugal.
